7 Things To Do For Organic Instagram Growth

Are you looking for organic Instagram growth?

If yes, continue reading this post.

If you have read my earlier post, then you know that it has not been too long that I have become more serious about Instagram. It’s just been a year that I changed my game plan and achieving organic growth. And let me tell you, gaining the followers is not a cup of tea.

Instagram has become so famous with millions of users, increasing the competition. If you are a blogger or a brand or an influencer, getting the organic growth for your account is tough these days. Why? Because there are so many others just like you. Staying ahead of the competition is the real deal here.

You can always gain followers and engagement if you pay a certain amount of money and promote your profile or post. Also, you can use bots for your Instagram growth. However, it can increase the risk of shadowban. A paid method is a fast track but organic growth takes time. I managed to gain 500 new followers in 3 months without spending a dime.

I am not an Insta-Guru but managing 8/9 accounts of different brands and niches including my own taught me a few things. Here, I am sharing what I have learned so far.

1. Planning the feed

When it comes to Instagram, we almost like to post everything we like. But, you need to stop yourself from doing so. Plan your feed; think about how you want your feed to look like. Finalize a theme, filters and stick to it. Preview App is great for creating your posts and planning your feed before actually posting them on your Instagram. Also, it offers various intriguing theme ideas and many helpful Instagram tips.

2. Create interesting posts

Nobody likes to follow the account with boring posts. Create interesting posts, post beautiful pictures. Make an effort. I sometimes post big pictures or the split pictures just to make my feed look more interesting. There are various apps that let you split your pictures into the grid for your Instagram. You can edit your pictures, post videos, collages, multiple images, quotes and words fitting the theme of your feed. Let your creative side take over.

3. Maintain Consistency

Consistency is key. Be consistent with your postings. Try to be regular. Try posting at different hours and see when your post performs the best. Then post around that time every day. But don’t over-post. The optimal posting frequency for Instagram is 1.5 per day. Also, be consistent with the filter you use. Don’t use all the filters available. Settle for 1-2 filters and stick to them.

4. Use relevant hashtags

Hashtags play an essential role in making your posts visible to your potential audiences. Too many hashtags may look messy but without the relevant hashtags, your post will be a drop in the ocean of million other posts. Use hashtags in the comment section rather than in the caption, that way you can keep your caption clean with just the information. Instagram allows you to use up to 30 hashtags per post.

5. Informative Bio

Write an informational bio that clearly states to your profile visitors why they should follow you. Mention your niche and what you basically talk about. Also give your bio a personal touch, talk about what your hobbies and passion. Give your contact address like email id and you can also share where you are based. You can share one link in your bio, you can either put your website link or link to your individual post. Shorten the link before putting it up.

6. Follow other accounts that interest you

When you are waiting for your potential followers, you can be proactive and go follow some accounts. There is no cent percent guarantee that everyone you follow will follow you back. Some will follow you back, which is okay, you just keep trying. Following does not mean the random following. Search for certain hashtags that are relevant to your niche and check the profiles. Follow them if you find the accounts interesting and in your niche.

7. Build a relationship

It needs two hands to clap. You can’t expect engagement on your post when you are sitting there doing nothing. Instagram is a community; try to build a relationship with other Instagrammers. Be active, leave likes and comments on others’ posts. Be genuine while doing so. Don’t just comment for the sake of commenting. Chances are they will do the same for you. Even if they don’t, you will, at least, be visible to their followers.

Along with the above-mentioned tips, you can also do the following:

  • Cross-posting on social media; share your Instagram profile on your other social media.
  • Link and share your Instagram posts on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr.
  • Reply to every comment you receive.
